The picture you have of the Asphalt Mine office was not used as a post office that I knew of. One of the women in the picture is Clara Wallace, who married a Whitaker. Her father was M D Wallace who ran the post office/general store in Margerum, but it was a different building. I have a box of items from the old post office, plus a 8mm film of M D Wallace at the store, which was in the front yard of his house.
